Professional Experience

Freelance Work 2019 - Present

Designed two houses which are currently in the planning process, one in rural Ireland, and the other in challenging central Dublin site. A strong understanding of regulations and construction methods were required during the design stage. It was also a good opportunity to hone communication skills, liaising between clients and planning officers.

Momentum Exhibition 2021

Constructed a large installation in the Irish Architecture Foundation with Plattenbau studio. Completed a 1:1 replica of Dublin “bedsit” typology out of paper as a comment on the Irish housing crisis. The exhibition received widespread recognition and acclaim in Ireland.

Commissions 2021

Commissioned by Dublin City Council to construct a detailed presentation model of a proposed family resource centre, with the aim of creating awareness and raising funds for the project.

Commissioned to complete a set of extensive exhibition drawings for an installation in a Dublin Arts centre, located in an historic postal sorting office. The drawings aim to show the building during three periods, examining and highlighting the building’s energy consumption as part of a wider dialogue about the construction industry’s role in the climate crisis.

DTA Architects 2018-2020

Worked on a range of large scale projects, such as social housing complexes, developer led housing, cultural buildings and hotels. Completed numerous successful planning application packages as well as assisting in the subsequent tender and construction stages. Constructed models during the design phase of projects, as well as large presentation models for planning purposes.

DHB Architects 2017

Created Revit Models for a social housing scheme.  Worked on significant public realm projects from design through to construction phase. Tasked with completing survey drawings and working models for several projects.
